I would like to let everyone know about my absolutely amazing experience with Ammons Dental By Design. I am 64 years old and have hated my teeth for years and was embarrassed to smile or even have conversations. I searched around for a good All in X implant full mouth rehab dentist and went for consultations at some of the “chain” implant dentist in the area, but always felt that they were more concerned with the money part than they were with the dental part.. I arranged an appointment for a consultation at Ammons Dental By Design, and I am so glad that I did. I was treated so well with the utmost respect and genuine care from the time I first went in.
Dr. Ammons is 100% the best dentist that I have ever known, his entire practice is caring, processional and they treat you like they have known you forever.
Dr. Ammons is a perfectionist when it comes to giving his patients everything that they need to make them 100% satisfied with the end results, his expertise prevented any complications. He sat with me and took as much time as needed to explain each procedure and answer all my questions.
I felt like I was Amanda’s patient throughout the whole procedure, she stayed with me for every appointment and procedure throughout the complete process. This is something that I have never experienced in all my years with dealing with any type of medical practice. Amanda is very knowledgeable and professional, and I always felt very comfortable.
From extracting all of my teeth and putting in the implants (I have 6 on top and 4 on bottom) I had almost no pain afterwards. I was able to control the pain with only OTC pain pills. I was fitted with temporary screw in dentures the same day and then started the process of healing, each time I was refitted with new mock sets of crew in teeth as my mouth healed and adjusted. This made it possible to always have a well fitted set of teeth and I was able to eat most anything.
The final zirconia set fits perfectly and feels stronger than my real teeth! Plus I am able to smile again!
I appreciate how Dr. Ammons and Amanda made this a satisfying experience.

Dr. Ammons is highly educated, motivated to help, explains things thoroughly, and does the work himself, he won’t outsource you to go see other Dr.s to do a separate part. They all work together as one. They all step up to the plate when needed, with a healthy attitude and vibe and willingness to do so. It is Up beat fun happy atmosphere. They are all happy to be there doing what they are truly passionate about. Dr. Ammons knows what he is doing, he is patient, kind, he will work with you as long as your willing to let him, he knows there is no quick fix to some issues. He will stick with it for the long haul. And his RDH. He is extremely excellent with his part and taking care of you Also. They don’t judge or make you feel ashamed. They want the best for you.

I’ve been going to Dr. Ammons since he started his practice in Summerville, SC. I can truly say Dr. Ammons is a very good dentist. He did my Veneers and later when I wanted implants, he did those also. I always get high compliments wherever I go. He is caring and always have time to find out what my problem is. He is patient and sincere when he ask about me and my family. When he is working on my teeth he usually tell me what to expect …. and he is always right. The staff is equally professional and always a great mood.

It had been pre Covid since I had been to the dentist and was dreading it. The staff is great. Everyone was nice and pleasant. I was impressed with the X-ray technology. John, the hygenist was extremely nice, funny. Also, impressed with the availability to get an appointment so quickly.

John the hygienist is AMAZING! Everyone in the office is so kind. I have always hated going to the dentist to get my teeth cleaned, but John is kind, gentle and Funny.

Pre and post visit has been thus far a GREAT experience. Hubby went in to get his 360 CT-scan and is getting work done tomorrow after getting a second opinion elsewhere.

After we watched The Root Cause documentary, we both agreed the 360 technology was a great way to tap deeper into our health.

From sweet Lola at the front desk, to Donna who is one of the nicest intake people I’ve ever met (sure made me feel special!), to Dr. Ammons who gave it to me straight up and never for a moment did I feel rushed or sitting there like “another $ up for collection”.

PS: My 1st visit was free with a free 360 CT-scan (tests already sent to me the day after per my request) and after almost TWO HOURS of mostly hanging out with Donna and hubby in the intake room, an unprecedented WOW experience. WOW and THANK YOU DOCTOR AMMONS!!!

My appointment today was fantastic. Everyone was nice my hygienist went over everything with great detail and took her time to show they care about their patients. Would highly recommend.

This was my first appointment with Dr. Ammons as I just moved here and have had the same dentist for years. I felt very comfortable with all the staff and never felt rushed. He told me everything that I needed done and set up a proposal for treatment with no pressure at all. I will be going next week for my first crown and will review again after!

They fit me in over the holidays for an emergency root canal. Even made time for a quick appt to adjust temp crown for comfort before next procedure. I had been to two other dentists and Ammons was recommended by second dentist (he just couldn’t fit me in his schedule) as he was the dentist he used!
I loved Dr. Ammons. He said I didn’t need the extensive work that the first dentist had suggested.(Other dentist said I needed root canals and crowns on several teeth, over 10k worth of work with insurance!)
I had rest of work done last week. I had the last wisdom tooth removed and I don’t know what magic he worked but I have had little to no pain. I go back for some adjustments with the crowns and lower bite soon and am looking forward to it! My teeth look so good!
The staff was awesome! Crystal went above and beyond in helping figure out the billing with the insurance company to make sure I was able to use all my benefits to lessen my out of pocket as I was going from one year to next in benefits. And, they were far less expensive than the other quotes (I compared work/cost per tooth). The best part is they are one of the few that I’ve found that do sedation which is necessary for me. The staff was very professional while being very friendly and kind which helped ease my anxiety. I would definitely recommend Dr. Ammons and his staff!!!

OMG I found this dentist office on google for a second opinion, and everyone in the office where so helpful and explain everything, what I needed done and and even some cosmetic if I wanted , explained pricing which was a couple of options. I drive a hour and thirty minute and it’s definitely worth it. Hello, my name is Stacey Hayes and I’m a patient of Dr. Ammons. I’m in my late 30s and suffer from a medical condition that caused the enamel of all my teeth to erode causing decay. I was embarrassed of the condition of my teeth and knew I needed to get them corrected. I decided to travel 4 hours one way to met Dr. Ammons and his staff. Him and his staff were by far the best and I wasn’t treated like a number, like many other places. Just about every staff member at the Summerville office would greet me and address me by name, which I’ve never had a physician’s office do that before. Absolutely every staff member at the Summerville office is elite and top tier and I highly recommend this practice. Dr. Ammons always wears the coolest bow ties and he did such an absolutely phenomenal job on both top and bottom implants. Even when I had several issues along the way, they were great about working me in to their schedule. Dr. Ammons is a perfectionist and he’s very committed to make sure everything is top notch before I left his office. Every step of the way he would always make sure that I never left his office without teeth. I’m very impressed with his work; they look amazing. I get compliments daily on how good they look. I went to Ammons Dental Thursday (Oct. 2023) for a treatment plan bc I’ve been needing some dental work done since I’ve put it off way longer than I should have.
Everyone was so nice to me, even from the calls/textes I received before the appointment. Anyways very sweet people who work there, confident in the dental work they do & the way they explained everything to me. Immediately made my anxiety go down. It’s just knowing that you are in good hands from the start. I go back in 2 weeks to start my Treatment Plan & I am so very EXCITED! Never have been excited to go have dental work until now, lol!!!! Since I can’t yet speak on the actual work I will write another post after my dental work is actually started. Oh and my first appointment they did x-rays (3-D,etc.) & I wasn’t charged for them or the Treatment Plan. Which everyone knows dental x-rays cost! B4 I forget this part; Their pricing is reasonable too.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND AMMONS DENTAL!

I went with the all on 4 procedure for upper and lower teeth, scared out of my wits, they explained the process and procedures in every detail. It is particularly important to me that this office provides total care.

From my first visit 5 years ago when I moved to South Carolina through every 3 months cleaning to a recent emergency. They did their best and got me in as soon as possible. Friendly and they make you feel comfortable. Never had a problem with any work they’ve done. Got the best music in town. And John the singing hygienist. I have been going to Ammons Dental for several years. I started going because I needed to be sedated for a major procedure. I’ve had some terrible experiences in the past. I had really bad anxiety at the dentist. They made me feel at ease, safe and comfortable. I’ve had some fillings and root canals done and I no longer need to be put under just some nitrous and I’m good. I continue to go there for my cleanings. John the singing hygienist is amazing. He even gives shots that are pain free. No lie, absolutely pain free. Dr. Clancy and Dr Ammons are awesome and all the ladies there are super sweet. I won’t go anywhere else.

I had a great experience at this dentistry. I took my mother for her appointment and decided to make myself an appointment. Not only did I get a quick appointment, but they also took me in the back and did a complimentary X-ray and allowed the dentist to come in and see me and go over what all I will need when I come in for my visit! Great staff and atmosphere.

I visited the office in Summerville and everyone was super kind and helpful. I had an initial exam and had to come back to do a cleaning and extraction. John did the cleaning he was super awesome. I had major anxiety about the process all day until the appointment however to my surprise John made the cleaning feel easy without pain. Dr Ammons did my extraction the same day and I was really impressed with his attention to detail and the aftercare information along with my treatment plan moving forward to create a beautiful smile. I’m really grateful to have found this office where they make you feel like family verse just another number. Thank you for your care and attention.
